We are really blessed to have these children and we are grateful to the Lord for each one of them. We have adjusted to being a family of 6 now and the kids are really enjoying their little baby brother. It doesn't seem that long ago since they were babies themselves. Time goes by so fast.

No more comments...

I am very sorry to have to stop comments on my blog but i feel this is the best thing to do as someone(whom i have a pretty good idea who it is) has started to comment on my blog with lies.
Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred [with] lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, [is] a fool.
God knows and he will deal with it but in the meantime for my friends, i will continue to update whenever possible.

Story behind the hymn..

In a previous post i said i would do this every once in a while so here is the Hymn i have chosen today....
The tune is named after the ship on which Spafford’s children perished, the S.S. Ville de Havre. Ironically, Bliss himself died in a tragic train wreck shortly after writing this music.
~
This hymn was written after two major traumas in Spafford’s life. The first was the great Chicago Fire of October 1871, which ruined him financially (he had been a wealthy businessman). Shortly after, while crossing the Atlantic, all four of Spafford’s daughters died in a collision with another ship. Spafford’s wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram, “Saved alone.” Several weeks later, as Spafford’s own ship passed near the spot where his daughters died, the Holy Spirit inspired these words. They speak to the eternal hope that all believers have, no matter what pain and grief befall them on earth.

~~~ It is well with my soul~~~
-
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
-
Refrain
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
-
Though Satan should buffet,
though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
-
Refrain
-
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
-
Refrain
-
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.
Poem...
IF JESUS CAME TO YOUR HOUSE
If Jesus came to your home to spend a day or two --
If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do.
Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored Guest,
And all the food you'd serve Him would be the very best,
And you would keep assuring Him you're glad to have Him there --
That serving Him in your home is joy beyond compare.
But -- when you see Him coming would you meet Him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome to your Heavenly Visitor?
Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in,
Or hide some magazines, and put the Bible where they'd been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn't heard,
And wish you hadn't uttered that last, loud, hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder -- if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing things you always do?
Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep its usual pace,
And would you find it hard each meal to say table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing, and read the books you read,
And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you planned to go,
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?
Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends,
Or would you hope they stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on,
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do,
If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you.
Time for an update...
Hello again, I thought i had better post something just to let you know i am still around.
It's been a busy month for us as we have been travelling up and down to our new Church in Newtownards. We've been going now for nearly a month. My husband has taken over as Pastor of Good News Baptist Church. You can check out some pictures on M&M's blog from a special service we had recently. I need to get a new camera and post some pictures myself too.
Bro. Stuart has been a blessing to us by reading from the Bible each service and he also has been sharing some things he has learned from studying the greek and hebrew.
Bro. Brian and Sis. Laurence have also been an encouragement to us by being faithful in attendence and Laurence has been very kindly helping me out with the suppers. She makes really good pavlova.
I musn't forget to mention my mom and nephew Christopher who have been faithfully attending each service also.
We are praying for souls to be saved through the outreach of the Church.
My family are doing well, the kids have been busy with their school work and just being kids.
Everything is going as well as can be expected with my pregnancy; I get my big scan on Thursday to check on the baby and make sure all is as it should be. I am hoping to get a few pictures to take home. The baby seems really active lately, especially at night,lol but i'm not complaining. It's very reassuring. It's hard to believe i am more than halfway through already.
Time goes by so fast. The kids can't wait to meet their new brother or sister.
I better stop typing now and get ready for bed. I'll try to update again soon.
Just for fun...
Color text Brain teaser
~~~
The point is to say the name of the color of each word, and not the color named by the word. So if you saw Blue you would say "Red". I strongly recommend you do this aloud in front of someone who can see the page and check you.

White - Gray - Orange - Gray - Pink - Blue - Gray
Red - Yellow - Purple - Red - Yellow - Pink - White
Green- Red- Gray - Yellow- Orange- Gray - Pink
Green - Yellow - Gray - White- Gray - Purple - Green
Pink - Gray- Blue- Gray - Orange- Gray - Blue
Yellow - Gray - Green - Yellow - Red - Pink - Gray
Purple - Orange - Green - Pink - Green - Blue - Green
~~~
Dawud Miracle learned that color stimulates different parts of the brain so he checked into this phenomenon even more... In the process he learned that the brain's easily tricked by association.
I found this a bit tricky, What about you?
Middle name Meme...
Lydia from three sisters blog kindly tagged me to do this meme so here goes....
Here are the rules: Post the rules on your blog, and then give your answers. List one fact about youself for each letter in your middle name. Each fact must begin with a letter from your middle name. If you do not have a middle name, use your maiden name (or create a middle name). Once you are tagged, update your blog with your middle name and your answers. At the end of your post, tag one person for each letter of your middle name. Leave them a comment on their blog telling them that they have been tagged, and that they need to come read your blog for details.
A Story to make you think...
The Mouse trap
~~~
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?" the mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
~
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
~
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."
~
The mouse turned to the pig and told him "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said "I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."
~
The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."
~
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.
~
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house - like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever.
~
Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many! people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
~
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.
~
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember: when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another. Each of us is a vital thread in another person's tapestry.

Update..

We had a good service this morning in Church. My husband preached from Philippians chapter 3 where Paul was telling the church that if anyone thought they were righteous enough in the eyes of the law, he had more reason to believe this than anyone yet he knew he needed Christ's
righteousness and that his own works would never be good enough to get him to heaven. In his own words he said But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ, Phil. 3:7,8

Unfortunately a lot of people are depending on their own works to get them to heaven and it will be a very sad day when they are faced with eternity in hell if they dont realise that nothing they can do will get them into heaven but what Christ has done.
It was a good message. Sadly a lot of Churches wont preach salvation through Christ, they are more interested in numbers in the seats and telling people what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. Yes, it's nice to have people in Church but if they are not hearing the true Gospel message then they might as well not be there at all. The Bible says in Matthew 7:13,14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The Gospel is not popular and never will be. Beware of churches that always mention numbers and not salvation.

~~~
Well, i am approaching the 3rd month of my pregnancy and i'm glad to say the morning sickness
is finally easing off. The baby is doing well and i already have 3 scan pictures to keep.
I had a few problems and spent 2 days in hospital but thankfully all is well again.God is good.
We are planning a day out tomorrow in Belfast and Antrim and my mom will be looking after the kids so we can have some time on our own. It will be nice. I get to do some shopping and i love shopping.
I was thinking of hosting a giveaway in the near future so keep an eye out for up and coming posts. I may pick some stuff up tomorrow for it. We'll see.
That's all for now. Take care.
Happy New Year 2008 Glitter Graphics
It’s the start of a new year - 2008
Last year is past, no matter how great,
People everywhere are making a promise
To do things better with the new year upon us,
If only folks could see, there’s only 1 thing that matters
Living for Christ and sharing with others,
the great saving Grace that God has to offer
new life in his Son and a love that wont falter
