Family day out.....

I trust you are having a good day. I will be busy today as i have to babysit my sisters 3 children overnight so that will be 6 kids to look after. They will be here any minute so this will just be a quick post.

We have been having beautiful weather this past few days. We decided to take the kids to the beach yesterday evening and we saw some amazing views when the sun was setting. It is a 12 mile journey from our house to this beach. There is a park beside the beach that we went to so the kids got to play. Can you believe i forgot to take my new camera with me; fortunately my husband was able to take some pictures on his phone so here are some i wanted to share.........

A must see film!

I watched a DVD yesterday called Facing the GIANTS. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it. It was a blessing and encouragement to my husband and I. My kids enjoyed watching it also. You can view a trailer for this movie by clicking the following link http://www.facingthegiants.com

A quick update for the day......

Hello again. Monday is usually a bit hectic with the start of the school week and getting stuff done around the house but not today. I have decided to take it easy and take the day off school as we have had visitors . Pastor Mark brought his brother Trevor and sister-in-law Lynn over for a visit. We enjoyed chatting over a wee cup of tea. They have 2 beautiful little children - 3 Yr. old Conner and 16 month old Charlotte. Conner liked holding the Dinosaurs ie. Lizards and the kids had fun playing together. I just had to take a picture of little Charlotte as she has beautiful red hair. So cute.

A Mother's reward.....

With Mother's day approaching i thought i would write a short poem and wish all the Mother's out there a Happy Mother's day. Of course if we have to wait until Mother's day to show our Mother's how much we appreciate them then there is something wrong. We should tell our Mother's how much we love them at every opportunity.Take care until next time...............

A Mother's reward
----------------------
A child is a gift from God above,
he gives us children to care for and love.
So when God gives a Daughter or Son
He is saying " I'm trusting you with this little one."
To be a Mother is a wonderful blessing-
A full time job, that's often testing.
The greatest reward for a Mother can be-
when that child says "Jesus I'm trusting in thee."
Then that child will truly know
that their Mother's love has really been shown
In raising that child to Love the Lord
Yes, this indeed is a Mothers Reward.

Psalm 127:3 Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.

A bit of Humor for the day.......

Smileys

Let Me Help You With That
Walking down the street, a man passes a house and notices a child trying to reach the doorbell. No matter how much the little guy stretches, he can't make it. The man calls out, "Let me get that for you," and he bounds onto the porch to ring the bell. "Thanks, mister," says the kid. "Now let's run."

Better Write That Down
An elderly husband and wife noticed that they were beginning to forget many little things around the house. They were afraid that this could be dangerous, as one of them may accidentally forget to turn off the stove and thus cause a fire. So, they decided to go see their physician to get some help. Their physician told them that many people their age find it useful to write themselves little notes as reminders. The elderly couple thought this sounded wonderful, and left the doctor's office very pleased with the advice.
When they got home, the wife said, "Dear, will you please go to the kitchen and get me a dish of ice cream? And why don't you write that down so you won't forget?"
"Nonsense," said the husband, "I can remember a dish of ice cream!"
"Well," said the wife, "I'd also like some strawberries on it. You better write that down, because I know you'll forget."
"Don't be silly," replied the husband. "A dish of ice cream and some strawberries. I can remember that!"
"OK, dear, but I'd like you to put some whipped cream on top. Now you'd really better write it down now. You'll forget," said the wife.
"Come now, my memory's not all that bad," said the husband. "No problem--a dish of ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream."
With that, the husband shut the kitchen door behind him. The wife could hear him getting out pots and pans, and making some noise inconsistent with his preparing a dish of ice cream, strawberries, and whipped cream. He emerged from the kitchen about 15 minutes later.
Walking over to his wife, he presented her with a plate of bacon and eggs. The wife took one look at the plate, glanced up at her husband and said, "Hey, where's the toast?"
