Poem....

My Heritage

--------------------

I may not be rich from the world's point of view

I may not own land or houses- it's true

*

But i have a Father who has riches untold,

he abides in a city that has street's of Gold

*

He owns many mansion's in Heaven, you see

and he gives them away completely for free

*

The cost to my Father was none too small

He paid a great price when his Son died for all

*

So when people look at me here on this earth

and think i have nothing that's of any worth

*

I have a heritage that no-one can take

a home in heaven that never will break

*

This world has riches that will soon pass away

but my Fathers riches will last for eternity

Update....

I figured since it's been a while i had better post something. I trust you are all doing well.

The world is celebrating the Easter holidays now and are supposed to be celebrating the Resurrection of Christ when all it is, is an excuse for people to drink alcohol.
I wonder how many churches will be telling their congregation the reason that Christ died on the cross??? Will they tell the people the good old Gospel story of our Saviour??

Sadly many don't and that is why it's important that we as Christians do our job and tell people of a Saviour who loves and died for them. If we don't then we are saying no to God when he has commanded us to do so. Unfortunately I as a christian have told the Lord no on more than one occasion when he has told me to witness to someone and the holy spirit has convicted me for failing the Lord. It is not a nice feeling and i wouldn't want it for anyone. It's much easier just to say yes and the Lord will bless you for it and someones soul may be saved because they heard the gospel. I am reminded of the following hymn:

Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o'er the erring one,
Lift up the fallen,Tell them of Jesus the mighty to save.
***
Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful,
Jesus will save.
***
Though they are slighting Him,
Still He is waiting,Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly,
Plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.
***
Down in the human heart,
Crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart,
Wakened by kindness,
Chords that are broken will vibrate once more.
***
Rescue the perishing,
Duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way, Patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand'rer a Savior has died.

Family day out.....

I trust you are having a good day. I will be busy today as i have to babysit my sisters 3 children overnight so that will be 6 kids to look after. They will be here any minute so this will just be a quick post.

We have been having beautiful weather this past few days. We decided to take the kids to the beach yesterday evening and we saw some amazing views when the sun was setting. It is a 12 mile journey from our house to this beach. There is a park beside the beach that we went to so the kids got to play. Can you believe i forgot to take my new camera with me; fortunately my husband was able to take some pictures on his phone so here are some i wanted to share.........

A must see film!

I watched a DVD yesterday called Facing the GIANTS. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it. It was a blessing and encouragement to my husband and I. My kids enjoyed watching it also. You can view a trailer for this movie by clicking the following link http://www.facingthegiants.com

A quick update for the day......

Hello again. Monday is usually a bit hectic with the start of the school week and getting stuff done around the house but not today. I have decided to take it easy and take the day off school as we have had visitors . Pastor Mark brought his brother Trevor and sister-in-law Lynn over for a visit. We enjoyed chatting over a wee cup of tea. They have 2 beautiful little children - 3 Yr. old Conner and 16 month old Charlotte. Conner liked holding the Dinosaurs ie. Lizards and the kids had fun playing together. I just had to take a picture of little Charlotte as she has beautiful red hair. So cute.
