I haven't gone anywhere....

I have been neglecting my blog since i started on facebook back in May, cant believe its been that long since i updated, i do apologize.

Well our new addition has arrived safe and sound and hard to believe she is 2 months old already, wow, time sure does fly. I had a bit of a rough run the last few months of the pregnancy but Praise and Glory to God that He brought us both through it and blessed our family with another precious wee baby. Here she is FAITH HOPE CHARITY CULLEN

WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN HAPPENING.....

We had a visitor from America come stay with us in July, a deacon from brother Allen Fox's Church, Kevin Copeland and he was a great blessing to our family, the Lord really used him to be an encouragement and fellowship to us all and we hope to have him come back and visit with us again. Here is a picture below............

AND........

Bangor Christian School held its second prizegiving service just last week and the kids made us really proud. They all recieved awards and did really well, the school continues to be a blessing to us and the kids.

UPDATE

What has been happening with me lately? Well my family are doing well, the kids are getting big and still enjoying their school which is a blessing. My hubby is busy all the time which is good thing i suppose but i do miss him when he is not with me. Everything is going well with our unborn baby so far for which i am thankful. I am feeling the baby move alot now and it is amazing and wonderful. No matter how many times i have been pregnant i still cant get over how amazing it feels to experience those movements. It reminds me how powerful my God really is. I go for my big 5 month scan next week, so looking forward to that. *** On a different note, i have been praying about some things that have been bothering me lately about some peoples behaviour and i can say for sure it has helped. I read a good qoute recently which said "PRAYER IS EITHER YOUR STEERING WHEEL OR YOUR SPARE TYRE" I know have been guilty of not praying in situations when i know i should have and from experience i have learned that talking to the Lord no matter what kind of day i am having makes things easier to deal with and i tend to cope alot better but i still have some learning to do, i admit that. I think the day i'll stop learning is the day i meet my Saviour. I am glad i have him to lean on and learn from. He is so good to me. *** Other news- I have joined facebook now so if your on it drop me a line. It's good to see Connie on there too. She's been such a help and blessing to me. Well i will go for now and Lord willing i will update again soon.

A quote for the day....

"I used to complain i had no shoes until i met a man who had no feet"

We would do well to remember that no matter what we are going through there is always someone out there having a harder time than us. Think of the good things that the Lord has blessed us with. Have a good day all!

1Sa 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

Precious Little One - Abigail Cullen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm just a precious little one who didn`t make it there.
I went straight to be with Jesus, but I`m waiting for you here.
Many dwelling here where I live, waited years to enter in.
Struggled through a world of sorow, a world marred with pain and sin.
Thank you for the life you gave me, it was brief but don`t complain.
I have all Heaven`s Glory, suffered none of earth`s great pain.
Thank you for the name you gave me. I`d have loved to bring it fame.
But if I`d lingered in earth`s shadows, I would have suffered just the same.
So sweet family - don`t you sorrow.Wipe those tears and chase the gloom.
I went straight to Jesus` arms from my loving Mother`s womb.
Update...at last
Hi again. I know it has been a while since i last updated, life has been very busy the past few months. We moved house and we now live in Bangor, the Lord provided us with a nice house in a nice area and it is great living here. The kids really love it and so do we. It is great to be so near our Church and the folks here. The kids started a private Christian school just a minutes drive from our house and they really enjoy it, they look so cute in their uniforms so i just had to post a picture. I am really happy to have found the school and i thank the Lord for it and the teachers there. It averages around 16 students between the primary and high school. Laurence and Brian's little girl Alyx-ann goes to the pre-school there too.
It has been a trying few months as my mother in law passed away and i had a miscarriage but God has proved himself yet again by getting my husband and i through these trials. His Grace is sufficient, Amen.
Here are some pictures of the new house for Chyrll. I included some videos of the wee man too.
At last...
Just thought i would give a quick update while i had the chance. Life has been soooo busy.
We are all doing ok, It is JJ's birthday on Friday, he will be 7 years old; i sometimes still think that JJ is the youngest and I've even called Samuel JJ a few times, oops that's awful isn't it.Well what can i say i'm not 20 anymore.
It will be a busy week as my mom is getting married on Saturday to bro. Neil. So a big CONGRATULATIONS! to you both Mom and Neil. It was actually an answer to prayer for me as i had been praying for someone to look after my Mum when we move to Newtownards. You just never know what the Lord has in store for his children.
7 of us went out 2 weeks ago on My moms "last single lady's day out " , we did bowling and had a meal. It was fun even though i didn't win.(not that i'm competitive or anything,lol)
The hardest part of getting ready for this wedding has been finding something modest to wear.
The clothing manufacturers must be trying to save on material or something. When i go looking to buy a top or a dress i dont want half of it to be missing, which seems to be the in trend right now. The shops are promoting immodest dress and sad to say some parents do too.
I ended up going to juntion one in Antrim and mananged to get something there.
I will go for now and Hopefully will get to post something again soon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JJ!
WE LOVE YOU!
We are really blessed to have these children and we are grateful to the Lord for each one of them. We have adjusted to being a family of 6 now and the kids are really enjoying their little baby brother. It doesn't seem that long ago since they were babies themselves. Time goes by so fast.
No more comments...
I am very sorry to have to stop comments on my blog but i feel this is the best thing to do as someone(whom i have a pretty good idea who it is) has started to comment on my blog with lies.
Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred [with] lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, [is] a fool.
God knows and he will deal with it but in the meantime for my friends, i will continue to update whenever possible.
Psalm 127:3,4,5 - Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward. As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth. Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them.......
New Church blog started...
We have had an interesting week and i have been trying to post some pictures but blogger will not co-operate for some reason. Anyway our Church had 3 baptisms last Wednesday and we also have opened a Church blog to post some news of whats happening. I have posted a link to the blog with my other links on the right hand side if you would like to take a quick peek now and then. Just click on Good News Baptist Church under the "Links to Good websites" and you should be able to get there.
We managed to get some pictures on the Church blog so it must be a problem with my blog but i will be trying again to post some pictures here.
I have been keeping ok, not long now until the baby comes and we are almost prepared. Notice i said ALMOST. Well i will post again soon. Hope all my blogging friends are doing well. Til next time...
Story behind the hymn..
In a previous post i said i would do this every once in a while so here is the Hymn i have chosen today....
The tune is named after the ship on which Spafford’s children perished, the S.S. Ville de Havre. Ironically, Bliss himself died in a tragic train wreck shortly after writing this music.
~
This hymn was written after two major traumas in Spafford’s life. The first was the great Chicago Fire of October 1871, which ruined him financially (he had been a wealthy businessman). Shortly after, while crossing the Atlantic, all four of Spafford’s daughters died in a collision with another ship. Spafford’s wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram, “Saved alone.” Several weeks later, as Spafford’s own ship passed near the spot where his daughters died, the Holy Spirit inspired these words. They speak to the eternal hope that all believers have, no matter what pain and grief befall them on earth.
~~~ It is well with my soul~~~
-
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
-
Refrain
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
-
Though Satan should buffet,
though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
-
Refrain
-
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
-
Refrain
-
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

Poem...

IF JESUS CAME TO YOUR HOUSE

If Jesus came to your home to spend a day or two --
If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do.
Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored Guest,
And all the food you'd serve Him would be the very best,
And you would keep assuring Him you're glad to have Him there --
That serving Him in your home is joy beyond compare.
But -- when you see Him coming would you meet Him at the door

With arms outstretched in welcome to your Heavenly Visitor?
Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in,
Or hide some magazines, and put the Bible where they'd been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn't heard,
And wish you hadn't uttered that last, loud, hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out?

Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder -- if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing things you always do?
Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep its usual pace,

And would you find it hard each meal to say table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing, and read the books you read,
And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you planned to go,
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?
Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends,

Or would you hope they stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on,
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do,
If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you.
